I think Palin is a perfect Gov of Alaska having lived there for 3 years. I think Palin as a VP of the US is as big a joke as Dan Quayle or any other bafoon the evangelicals force on the republican ticket. Quayle really hurt Papa Bush. Neither one had any qualification to be president.

For the record I think Biden to be more qualified to be prez than Obama.

Pretty smart of him to add Biden to his Cabinet, eh?

cept he hid Biden the last 3 weeks of the campaign and then verbally reprimanded him 2 week ago when Biden said there is a 30% chance the stimulus will blow up in the dems face.  Biden has no filter and says a lot of things, some true, some sorta true, but many you don’t say in politics.  he’ll stick his foot in his mouth many times the next 4 years.  so no, i think Obama tells Joe to sit in the corner and don’t come out for most of it ... the gore/quayle treatement.

Hhahahahahahahaa...so true. As a society we are more interested in picking sides and defending our “teams” than we are doing what will work and benefit the most. It is a shame.

In all my years visiting this site and all the intelligent thoughtful posts I have to say this above post is the best I’ve ever read.

These I am a democrat and you are a republican threads usually go no where.  Here is a good article you might consider.

Sometimes the message is great, no matter what you think of the messenger.

Larry Flynt - yes, that Larry Flynt - wrote today on Huffington Post:
The American government—which we once called our government—has been taken over by Wall Street, the mega-corporations and the super-rich ... Both Democrats and Republicans dance to the tune of their corporate masters. In America, corporations do not control the government. In America, corporations are the government.

This was never more obvious than with the Wall Street bailout, whereby the very corporations that caused the collapse of our economy were rewarded with taxpayer dollars. So arrogant, so smug were they that, without a moment’s hesitation, they took our money—yours and mine—to pay their executives multimillion-dollar bonuses, something they continue doing to this very day. They have no shame. They don’t care what you and I think about them. Henry Kissinger refers to us as “useless eaters"…
The reason Wall Street was able to game the system the way it did—knowing that they would become rich at the expense of the American people (oh, yes, they most certainly knew that)—was because the financial elite had bribed our legislators to roll back the protections enacted after the Stock Market Crash of 1929.

Congress gutted the Glass-Steagall Act, which separated commercial lending banks from investment banks, and passed the Commodity Futures Modernization Act, which allowed for self-regulation with no oversight. The Securities and Exchange Commission subsequently revised its rules to allow for even less oversight—and we’ve all seen how well that worked out. To date, no serious legislation has been offered by the Obama administration to correct these problems.

Instead, Obama wants to increase the oversight power of the Federal Reserve. Never mind that it already had significant oversight power before our most recent economic meltdown, yet failed to take action. Never mind that the Fed is not a government agency but a cartel of private bankers that cannot be held accountable by Washington. Whatever the Fed does with these supposed new oversight powers will be behind closed doors…

The real war is not between the left and the right. It is between the average American and the ruling class. If we come together on this single issue, everything else will resolve itself. It’s time we took back our government from those who would make us their slaves.

It is well worth your time in reading Flynt’s article in full. He gives some valuable history lessons (including the context of a quote by Thomas Jefferson being bandied about today) and proposes a concrete plan to effect change: a one-day national strike.

Palin is just one of the queen’s cousins as have been most of our presidents. Bama, Bush, Cheney and even Brad Pitt are all cousins and related to the queen. It is a country club and family affair. The two sides of the one party system are just something to keep the commoners bickering.

Don’t believe it, check out Burke’s peerage.
