^ I know. I thought oh God! UNC is under the screws. It turns out they were a step in a lengthy process. While it’s no fun having the NCAA at your school…I’m just looking for a conclusion. The more schools that are involved the longer this thing will drag on.

AJ CLEARLY states that he was not there in the article.

Reached by phone Tuesday night—almost a day before the NCAA contacted Georgia—Green told SI.com that he did not attend the party. Green, who is considered on of the nation’s best receivers, said a Georgia compliance official asked him Tuesday if he attended the party. Green said he spent Memorial Day weekend at home in Summerville, S.C.
“I never went to South Beach,” Green told SI.com

They are coming to Athens though. I would imagine that the NCAA will be visiting alot of schools after all this.

I read somewhere that there were around 40 athletes at the party from various schools. I don’t know how credible it was but that would be scary if true. One of the other rumors I have heard was Peterson from LSU.

I think Ponder, Hudson, or Bradham would be about the only possible candidates from FSU but I doubt they were involved, I hope not anyway.

Green apparently at home in Summerville.

I like that the denials are straightforward - AJ quoted as saying “I’ve never been to Miami.”  that leaves little room for a grey area so that is optimistic…....leads me to this conclusion…............USC must be spreading this misinformation to make it appear that they arent’ the only ones with this type of scandal, therefore the NCAA should lessen their punishment.  The Pouncey info was from an anonymous handwritten note dropped off to the Athletic Department…come on, no trails anywhere in any of these cases?  Noone saw anything? Just one after the other accusations….........hmmmmmm smells bad….smells real bad to me

AJ quoted as saying “I’ve never been to Miami.”

Perhaps. Maybe he was, technically, in Davie or South Beach. Not in the city limits of Miami.

Are you suggesting that AJ Green is not telling the truth? Why?

I’m saying it’s possible. Because his statement struck me as player-speak and loaded with loopholes. It’s possible to state facts without telling the truth.

It’s not him specifically. I do doubt top-touted players who are NFL prospects and their (lack of) ability to resist the temptation of big money. But, again back to Green, his lack of depth in his very short denial felt prepared.

I have it on pretty good authority that he wasn’t there and has truly never been further south than Tampa. He is being short with his answer because he has nothing else to say. Never been there…..what else would you like for him say?

As for the others I have no idea what they have done or said about this deal. But this thread was started to try and make AJ Or UGA look bad and I know he wasn’t there and I think we have done quite enough to make ourselves look bad thanks.

I had this vision in my head…

JOURNALIST (or NCAA INVESTIGATOR)
Were you at Frank Gore’s party?

GREEN
I’ve never been to Miami.

So, was he being factual? Yes. Was he telling the truth? Not really.
