It’s the owner’s fault.

They don’t seem to care about anyone except for their profit margin. There is no such thing as an ethical business.

I hope the NFLPA along with the AFL-CIO helps with the low-to-mid range workers for the NFL franchises. We all know that the owners will fire them just so they can stay comfy in the great recession.

NFL fans aren’t going to take this very well if there is a stoppage/strike/lockout. These guys need a scale of some kind for the players and the owners need to quit charging people their kidneys to go to a game.

The NFL has it going so good that they are just arrogant and stupid enough to let it happen…just like baseball.

Mountain… all businesses care about their profit margin… it is how they stay in business.

Problem is for many businesses, profit is all they care about.

This potential lock out/work stoppage is not new news. It’s been talked about by the likes of John Clayton on ESPN for some time. Player representatives of the players’ union have been telling it’s members to put away as much money as they can. Personally, I’m not quite sure what the owners might want except for slotted salaries in the draft. They have salary caps, nonguaranteed contracts, and can pursue signing bonuses of cut players. The players need to try and not give up any more. Should make for a potentially long standoff.
