*What a tremendous battle, this may be the ACC Game of the Year to date. Clemson freshman quarterback Kyle Parker emerged in this victory. On the road, against a top ten team, he made the big plays needed to lead his team to victory. His game-winning touchdown pass to Jacoby Ford was an absolute strike. He had to have grit, determination and confidence to make that throw against an athletic Miami secondary. He finished the day with 326 yards and three touchdowns.
*C.J. Spiller is a ridiculous talent. He did it all in the Tigers' win over Miami. He had 14 attempts for 81 yards, including a 48-yard run. He had six receptions for 104 yards and one touchdown, a 56-yard catch. He also had a 90-yard kickoff for a touchdown. What can’t this guy do? He is one of the most dynamic players in league history.
*This is a signature win for Dabo Swinney. The road loss to Maryland earlier in the season stunned people, but Clemson and Swinney proved themselves on South Beach Saturday night. Swinney made gutsy decisions and remained calm when the game with tight. His team was an extension of him. This is a season-defining win for Clemson.
*Nobody was happier to see Clemson beat Miami than Georgia Tech fans. We know Jonathan Dwyer and C.J. Spiller are buddies, but Dwyer was probably wearing Spiller’s jersey late Saturday night. We have a long way to go, but it may be a Clemson/Georgia Tech ACC Championship Game. With the way the ACC is, however, who knows.
*Watch the national media jump off the Miami bandwagon. The way some prognosticators react to one loss, one play in this case, is just funny. Even with this loss, this remains a great season for Randy Shannon and Miami and this is a very good Hurricane football team. Don’t forget about this team.
