*How can you not love this Georgia/Auburn rivalry? Entering this Saturday, the two teams had played 112 times and the series was lead was just two games for Auburn. Now one game is all that divides these two through 113 tries. We all understand the history and tenure of this series, but this is still one of the most underrated and under-appreciated rivalries in college football. From the coats and ties in the stands to the tradition and pageantry both programs bring, this game typifies college football in the south.

*This game literally had it all. From big plays, to sustained drives, to field goals that bounced off the upright and through to a tipped pass that was caught by an unexpected receiver and converted a long third down. Heck, Auburn quarterback Chris Todd even completed pass to offensive tackle Lee Ziemba, illegally of course. This back-and-forth game, with Georgia prevailing, was a pleasure to watch

*Reshad Jones' fourth quarter interception of Chris Todd was a huge play that was the catalyst in this Georgia win. Auburn had just returned a kickoff for touchdown and then forced the Bulldog offense to punt. With momentum slipping, Jones stepped up and made a huge play late in the game. The turnover led to a go-ahead Caleb King touchdown run.

*How about the job Washaun Ealey and Caleb King did running in the second half? That's Georgia football, that's the style of play we grew to know in the 1980s and 1990s. Both tailbacks made big plays in the final two quarters of the game to help defeat Auburn. Ealey and King both scored key second half touchdowns.

*The Auburn secondary did as good a job as anyone has done on A.J. Green this season. They held the All-American receiver to just three catches for 19 yards. Green's 19 yards receiving were by far his lowest total this year.

*AJ Green did not play the last three quarters of the game...he was only thrown to 3 times so Auburn didn’t exactly hold him to only three catches.

Green went out with a shoulder injury 3 or 4 mins into the 2nd quarter and did not return.
