*The Florida Gator front seven saved the day in Columbia, South Carolina. Brandon Spikes and company harassed South Carolina quarterback Stephen Garcia all night long, forcing him into rushed decisions, hasty scrambles and key turnovers. Sacks also forced USC into third down and long situations they are not built to overcome.
*The Gators have now won 20 games in a row and Tim Tebow has improved to 32-5 as a starter. Tebow led his team to another victory and is now tied for the most touchdowns in SEC history. It's amazing that Florida continues to win game after game despite taking the best effort of each of their opponents and playing a brutal SEC schedule. The consistency of this program under Tebow and Urban Meyer is stunning.
*Defensive end Justin Trattou sealed the Gamecocks' fate with his interception in the fourth quarter. The pressure caused by the Florida front seven caused a bad throw from Stephen Garcia and Trattou took full advantage. This has to be one of the plays of the year so far for the Gators.
*Florida isn’t winning by 40 every week like this time last year but they are winning. And, considering the parity in college football, that is much than enough. The Gators are on a roll, will be heavily favored in their final two regular season games and are looking to give the Gator faithful their first undefeated season in school history.
*The stage is set for a 2008 SEC Championship Game rematch in Atlanta on December 5th. This is the game every fan and media member wants and it looks like the Gators and Crimson Tide will likely enter the showdown undefeated, with the victor moving on to the national championship.
