The Arkansas Razorbacks may have the most explosive offense in all of college football this season. With a possible number one overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft in Ryan Mallett the hype is well-deserved.

Mallett finished last season 3,624 yards passing and 30 touchdowns, good for the best mark by any quarterback in the SEC, but even with that kind of performance Mallett thinks he can improve. "After watching the whole season, I was somewhat disappointed in my season,” he said. “I missed a lot of easy throws that are really uncharacteristic. If I just take what I do in practice to the game, we might be a hundred percent every game. I missed some throws that were really easy. I missed a couple checks. I didn't sit well with me."

Arkansas head coach Bobby Petrino has constructed one heck of a supporting cast around Mallett, including playmakers like Greg Childs and Jarius Wright at wideout, and arguably the best tight end in the country in D.J. Williams.

One underrated aspect of the Arkansas offense is the running game. The Razorbacks have one of the deepest running back corps in the SEC. Arkansas has a great tradition at the running back position and looks to continue that with young highly-touted guys like Ronnie Wingo Jr., Knile Davis and Broderick Green. They could reap the rewards of defenses keying on Mallett even more this year.

"When you can control the ball and move it on the ground, you're better on third down because you're getting in shorter distances. You can keep your defense on the field,” Petrino. "I'm not saying that we're going to come in and be a ball-control team, because I still like to throw it down the field, move it around, score a lot of points. That's one of the ways we've always found a way to win."

The Razorbacks may have the complete package on offense and are looking to shake things up in the SEC West.

There is a reason to be excited in Fayettville, Ark., with the 2010 slate about to begin.
