*This was a statement win for Ole Miss. Prior to this victory, it seemed like everyone had forgotten about the Rebels and the talent they have on their roster. Now 7-3, Ole Miss is in very good position to make a prominent bowl game and possibly win ten games. This is a convincing, dominating victory for the Rebels over a extremely hot football team.

*Dexter McCluster is a freak of nature. The hybrid running back/wide receiver is this year's Percy Harvin. How is this for the stat line? 25 rushes for 282 yards and four touchdowns. Seriously. Oh, and he added four catches. A simply amazing performance against one of the premier defenses in the SEC. This is one of the top single-game performances of the year in college football.

*While McCluster was the obvious playmaker, give the Ole Miss offensive line a lot of credit. They physically manhandled the Volunteers up front and paved huge rushing lanes for McCluster and company to run through. The front five had been inconsistent at times this season, but had perhaps their best showing of the season on Saturday against Tennessee.

*Jevan Snead still doesn't look quite right. He made the few plays his team needed him to against the 'Vols, but threw for just 119 yards and an interception. His productivity from this season compared to last is just hard to figure out.

*It's worth noting despite the loss, Tennessee quarterback Jonathan Crompton threw two more passing touchdowns. He now has 23 passing touchdowns on the season, an amazing figure. He had four passing touchdowns last season.
