Boston is one of America's great cities, a tried and true pillar of history for our nation. Founded by puritan colonists from England in 1630, the city has become a northeastern hub with a region home to roughly 4.5 million people. Residents take great pride in area lore and Boston's successful professional sports franchises. The New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics and Boston Bruins are consistently among the best in their respective leagues.

A hidden gem in many ways is Boston College. Located in Chestnut Hill, the main campus is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The school is known for its Collegiate Gothic architecture, which stands out as unique compared to other league schools. Eagle football has a grand tradition, with Doug Flutie and Bill Romanowski standing as two prominent alumni. Flutie, the 1984 Heisman Trophy winner, is considered one of the greatest college quarterbacks of all time. Since joining the ACC, BC has become the most consistent team in the atlantic division.

Like the city it calls home, Boston College is rich in tradition. While not a typical college town, Boston offers visitors a inimitable look at our historical culture all while keeping sports at the top of their priority list. Whether providing a narration for the evolution of our country or showcasing the passion people have for the teams they like, Boston is home to strong enthusiasm and passion.
