*For those who don't think C.J. Spiller is a legitimate Heisman contender, it's time to get with the program. What he is doing is literally getting ridiculous. In a game his team had to have, Spiller threw a 17-yard touchdown pass, rushed for 97 yards and a touchdown and caught three passes for 48 yards and a touchdown. He is a Heisman Trophy finalist at this point, period. He is as dynamic of a talent as we have seen in college football in recent memory.

*NC State isn't a tremendous foe, but this was a potential trap game on the road facing a very talented offense. Give Clemson credit for taking care of business. The Tigers are obviously on a mission to get to the ACC Championship Game and they are playing great football. A 20-point road win in the ACC at this point in the season is a major accomplishment.

*Kyle Parker had an efficient afternoon. He completed 12 of 18 passes for 183 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions. He continues to impress as a redshirt freshman. He plays with a poise and steady hand well beyond his years.

*C.J. Spiller is sick. We mean grade-schooler wiping his nose on his sleeve sick. He deserved another mention in this column. That is all.

*Dabo Swinney and his coaching staff are doing a tremendous job. From finding ways to get C.J. Spiller the football, to putting Kyle Parker in the position to be successful, to managing expectations to keeping this team focused, the coaching staff has his team playing their best.
