*That is the brand of football most identify with Georgia, a style that has been missing all season long. The Bulldogs rushed for 205 yards at halftime, with true freshman Washaun Ealey taking 140 yards into the half. The UGA offensive line dominated, punishing the Georgia Tech front seven for sixty minutes and opening up huge rushing lanes for Ealey and Caleb King. The Bulldogs' mission was to get physical and they did just that. Georgia hasn't run the football this well in a long, long time. They finished up with nearly 350 yards on the ground and two 160+ yard rushers. After being dominated at the point of attack last season, you could tell the 'Dawgs were out for a very specific kind of revenge.

*Georgia Tech had 98 total yards at the end of the first half, just 80 yards rushing. Though the Yellow Jackets got it going somewhat in the second half, the Georgia defense did a fabulous job defending the triple option offense. With their strong ground game, UGA limited GT's opportunities. When Tech did get the football, the 'Dawgs loaded the box and did not allow much up the middle of the field. Much-maligned defensive coordinator Willie Martinez had a great scheme; shutting down the middle of the field runs from Josh Nesbitt and Jonathan Dwyer, the catalyst that drives the Jackets' ground success. This defense stepped up on Tech's final drive of the game to perserve the win.

*This game was won in the trenches. Georgia won the battle at both sides of the line of scrimmage and it really wasn't close either way. The Bulldogs pushed around their archrivals and controlled the offensive and defensive fronts like few have in the Paul Johnson era at Georgia Tech.

*It's good to see this rivalry getting back to where it should be. Two games into the Mark Richt/Paul Johnson series, we have had two games that came down to the final drive of the game. Richt has one win, Johnson has one win. This series has great history and tradition and deserves to be mentioned with the other top rivalries in the south.

*Georgia Tech's leading rusher had 41 yards. With that type of production, Paul Johnson's teams will be hard-pressed to win. Interesting to note that both Georgia Tech and Clemson lost non-conference games in which they were both heavily-favored the week before the ACC Championship.

A 10-1 ACC team, Ranked #7 ,loses to a 6-5 SEC team unranked ,whose Defensive Coordinator will probably be replaced soon. Tech beat 5-7 Ms.State and 2-10 Vanderbilt, Whoopie ! Why can’t we get Tech and FSU in the SEC ? Trade Vandy and Kentucky for them ?  Where will Clemson end ? #18 prior to todays loss!  If Clemson wins the ACC they might be UNRANKED when they do it !!!  There are good years and bad. The SEC has #1 and #2 playing for the championship. The ACC #15 ??? and #25 or worse ??? Ms. State scored 3 pts. against the Tide and 31 against Tech. How does that get a #7 ranking ?
