UGA/Vandy Thoughts
CommentsThank you GOD, Guardian Of Dawgs for sparks and barks! 34-10! As a woman, I’ll never know what it’s like to “play in the arena.” What I do know is I love to see the Dawgs when they do play. I love hearing the fans during kickoffs and barking like dawgs! I love seeing Uga on the sidelines and thank the Seiler family for their love and dedication to bring him to all the games. I love having feelings beyond words to be a part of the Bulldog Nation. Mark Richt’s attitude and comments after the Tennessee game showed him to be arrogant, cocky and disrespectful...all traits of a loser, not a winner. Dawgs fans were upset and over the last six days the fans and media have certainly expressed sentiments—good, bad and ugly. Many in the Bulldog Nation wanted to wipe that smirk off his face and knock the chip off his shoulder and put him on the naughty pad without any supper! Richt is a winner, not a loser; Georgia Bulldogs are winners, not losers - no matter the final score on the scoreboard. After the Tennessee loss and fan reactions, Richt and his staff have indeed had a wake-up call. Thank you GOD, Guardian of Dawgs for the sparks and barks. 34-10! Bringing former Dawg quarterback Mike Bobo down from the booth onto the sidelines to fire up his offensive players was a huge spark! The Dawgs were excited and looked like Junkyard Dawgs! Loyal fans were happy bundled up in the cold weather. Uga VII looked much happier today. Am sure he barked sometime during the game. Seeing his beautiful presence on the sidelines brought a warm spark to my heart. Miracles happen. The Washington Huskies beat USC 16-13. Georgia Bulldogs can win games and championships. Mark Richt can smile and show some passion. The coaches can rally and spark the players. The players can be proud to wear the best looking uniforms in college football (Tech’s navy, gold and white are a close second). Thankfully, our Dawgs rallied and beat Vandy. Georgia can beat Florida, Tennessee Tech, Auburn, Kentucky and Georgia Tech. These teams think they are going to whip us, but the Dawgs could easily surprise them. One extra point is a win. We have nothing to lose since we’re already having to “reprove” ourselves, but sure would be fun to beat each and every one of them and bring home a championship for Uga VII. All the players and coaches have to do is stay in the moment and believe without any doubts they can win, and accept nothing less than their best. Whether Dawgs win or lose, oh it’s great to be a Georgia Bulldog. Oh yes ... thank you GOD- Guardian of Dawgs. 34-10. See you in Jacksonville!
It’s Great to be a Georgia Bulldog!
Posted by GeorgiaGirl71 on 10/17 at 04:25 PM Dear GOD—Guardian Of Dawgs --please give us sparks and barks in Nashville Saturday ... and in Jacksonville on Halloween October 31! Please let the TV cameras show Uga VII barking at Vanderbilt’s mascot, “Mr. C,” named for Commodore Cornelius Vanderbilt, and two weeks later on Halloween barking at the University of Florida’s Gator mascots, Albert and Alberta. Last Saturday In Knoxville, the TV cameras showed a sad Uga sitting in his kennel looking bored, depressed and disgusted, wondering when the game would be over and he’d get back to home ... like most of the Bulldog Nation. Regrettably, his daddy Uga VI died before he could teach him how to bark when the Dawgs played football, but he’s cute, sweet and adorable and will soon understand he’s the best loved “ferocious” mascot in college football. Bark Uga, Bark!!! Seven is Heaven!! Also, please let the coaches, players and fans get sparked for the game. Coach Richt would be wise to show James Brown singing “Dooley’s Junkyard Dawgs” in the locker room before each game featuring Dooley’s Dawgs, fans on the train tracks, Uga II, Vince and Erk dancing on sidelines and the best band in college football. Richt and Martinez could learn much from the man who hired him away from the ACC to become members of the SEC religion—The Church of Dawgs Between the Hedges. During the Dawgs’ off week, to create a “gator spark” Richt could buy the coaching staff some red pants like those worn by Vince, Erk and their ’70’s staff yelling on the sidelines after plays (with no headphones). Seeing Richt and his coaching staff wearing red pants and dancing the “Dawg Dance” on the sidelines would certainly bring a spark in Jacksonville and a bark for Uga VII. Thank you in advance, GOD—Oh, Guardian of Dawgs for the sparks and barks. Living in North Carolina ACC territory, GeorgiaGirl71 will be watching on ESPN Game Plan! Having been a student from 1967-1971, she misses seeing the fans on the railroad tracks...misses hearing the band play “Dixie,” misses hearing Larry Munson and most of all misses Lewis Grizzard! Wonder what he’d write about this season. Win or Lose, oh, how great it is to be a Georgia Bulldog! Go you beautiful Hairy Dawgs! Love you forever.

Posted by GeorgiaGirl71 on 10/17 at 04:30 PM Thank you Mike Bobo for sparking the Dawgs! What a difference a week makes in the Bulldog Nation. Today, former SEC Dawg quarterback Mike Bobo (1993-97)—who finished his UGA playing career ranked second in the Georgia record books in passing yards (6,334), pass attempts (766), pass completions (445), and TD passes (38)… team captain in 1996 and 1997...MVP of the 1998 Outback Bowl--was excited to be back on the Georgia sidelines ... that’s a good start...and a good spark for the entire team. He certainly looked like a man happy to be released from the Prison of the Sound Booth. He was free and having fun, and his offensive players were inspired and motivated by his personal touch and physical encouragement. Bobo brought excitement and positive energy to the sidelines and was fun to watch on TV rather than being a dark shadow in the press box. Even the ESPN commentators throughout the game continued to mention in his three years as OC they had never seen him out of the booth on the sidelines. Am surprised to read he asked Richt if it was okay to join the players on the sidelines ... even more surprised Richt, as a former winning quarterback, never thought that Bobo as OC having eye contact with his offensive players would be a good thing ... a much needed spark to boost their morale and spirits. What’s wrong with this picture? After seeing the enthusiasm and positive results of today’s spark, I would enjoy seeing Bobo on the sidelines for all the remaining games this year, as Cox and the entire team need all the positive energy, encouragement and inspiration they can get. When the coaches and players are excited, the Bulldog Nation is excited. Mike Bobo was the only coach showing any real excitement, or possibly he got more camera time than the others. Maybe this SEC former player can energize the team and be an example to the former ACC coaches on how to show excitement, passion, interest and thankfulness for the opportunity to worship at The Church of Dawgs Between the Hedges. Living in ACC territory, one of the reason I have no interest watching ACC football is the lack of enthusiasm and passion. I find most ACC football games rather boring and mediocre--two words never used to describe SEC and Georgia football games. However, Georgia Tech’s upset 28-23 win over #5 Virginia Tech may have been exciting to watch. Thank you Mike for bringing some SEC spark to the Dawg’s sidelines in Nashville and look forward to seeing you on the sidelines in Jacksonville, Sanford Stadium and Grant Field. TV viewers were given good images of your enthusiasm today...keep up the good work. Please GOD—Guardians Of Dawgs—provide the Dawgs with all the positive energy, inspiration and encouragement they need to be champions on and off the field. Help VII win a championship.
