Now that the spring evaluation period is over, it's time for Version 3.0 of the 2021 South Georgia Player Rankings.

Now that the spring evaluation period is over, it's time for Version 3.0 of the 2021 South Georgia Player Rankings. The updated version sees expansion from a Top 55 to a Top 70, with 15 new names. Each new name has the abbreviation (NR) listed in the last ranking column.

There are currently 34 players in the Top 70 with at least one FBS or FCS offer, 11 players already boast five or more offers. Kingsland (Ga.) Camden County offensive lineman Micah Morris still heads the way with over 20 FBS offers which include the likes of Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Miami and Ohio State.

There are three other prospects with double digit offers. Receiver Chauncey Magwood of Leesburg (Ga.) Lee County currently has 11 offers, Fort Valley (Ga.) Peach County offensive lineman Terrence Ferguson holds 16 offers and Kingsland (Ga.) Camden County wide out Shawn Hardy has 13 suitors on his dance card.

The highest new entry at #10 is Hahira (Ga.) Valwood receiver Aalah Brown. As a sophomore playing for Valdosta (Ga.) he caught 43 passes for 785 yards. He currently has offers from Boston College, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Oregon, Pittsburgh, South Florida, Vanderbilt and West Virginia.

Coming in at #26 is Warner Robins (Ga.) quarterback/athlete Jalen Addie. Last season he caught 28 passes for 328 yards and two touchdowns while completing three of six passes for 101 yards and a touchdown. He is currently listed as an athlete, but that could change as he is the projected starting quarterback for the Demons. Addie has received a scholarship offer from Akron.

Valdosta (Ga.) Lowndes safety TJ Quinn makes his entry at #29. The hard hitting safety that plays like a linebacker recently gained his first offer from Virginia Tech.

Making his entry at #33 is Warner Robins (Ga.) linebacker Ahmad Walker. As a sophomore he recorded 60 tackles, five TFL’s, two FF’s and one INT in helping lead the Demons to the GHSA-AAAAA State Championship Game. He currently possesses offers from Akron and UNC-Charlotte.

The final Top Five new entry may come as a bit of a surprise as he recently transferred from Savannah (Ga.) Beach to Savannah (Ga.) Islands. Two-way standout Damonte Smith comes in at #38. Last season in nine games the 6-foot-2, 260-pound bruiser carried the ball 34 times for 267 yards and six touchdowns while racking up 29 tackles and eight TFL’s from his defensive end position.

Look for expansion and movement to take place at least two more times during the 2019 calendar year. We have to remember that many of the young athletes in the class of 2021 were just sophomores last season.
