A late field goal gives Kentucky a wild 41-38 win at Louisville.

1. There's a signature win for Mark Stoops at Kentucky. Playing 11th ranked Louisville on the road, the Wildcats rallied to an impressive 41-38 win over Lamar Jackson and the Cardinals. In a thrilling back-and-forth contest, Kentucky proved to be the most-effective team late. After a critical recovered fumble by Courtney Love, Stephen Johnson led the Wildcats on a defining 7-play, 60-yard drive to setup a historic 47-yard game-winning field goal by Austin MacGinnis. The Wildcats were relentless in the win, compiling 581 total yards and forcing four turnovers.

2. Quarterback Stephen Johnson shined. He completed 16-of-27 passes for 338 yards, three touchdowns and an interception, adding 83 yards rushing. On the same field as Lamar Jackson, Johnson was incredibly dynamic. His 29-yard strike to Jeff Badet with just over a minute to play moved Kentucky into Louisville territory to ultimately setup the game-winning field goal.

3. Though this was a game with 1,142 yards of total offense, the Wildcats made critical big plays on defense late. Kentucky forced turnovers on three of Louisville's final four possessions, preventing the Cardinals from taking a fourth quarter lead and giving the offense extra opportunities to score. Mike Edwards recorded two interceptions.

4. It's been a great season for kicker Austin MacGinnis. He has now made 15-of-18 field goal attempts, none bigger than his 47-yarder on Saturday. MacGinnis also kicked a game-winner against Mississippi State.

5. Lamar Jackson put up huge numbers once again, throwing for 285 yards, rushing for 171 and scoring four touchdowns, but his turnovers were obviously costly. That may hurt him in the eyes of some Heisman Trophy voters. In the loss, Jackson set a new single-season ACC total touchdown record with 51.
