Emory Jones breaks down the standouts from Thursday's Senior Bowl practice.

North Practice Notes

Last day of full practice for both squads as tomorrow will be a closed walkthrough practice.  For the North team, East Carolina's Zay Jones was the standout from the wide receivers today.  Jones drew a lot of cheers from the crowd as he put a move on a defender so sick, it left him in his tracks.  Jones also caught the ball well in both team and individual drills.  Charlotte 49ers defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi provided some quality reps during 9-on-7 period.  Florida International's Jonnu Smith owned the blitz pickup/pass rushing drills today.  We talked about his ability to catch the football, but his blocking this week has been highly impressive.  Louisville's Jamari Staples was out today because of a concussion suffered at yesterday's practice.

South Practice Notes

LSU's C Ethan Pocic has put together a very strong week in Mobile. It seems as if he constantly draws the assignment of Tulane's DT Tanzel Smart in 1-on-1s, and he's been able to excel consistently.  Troy's offensive tackle Antonio Garcia posted back-to-back solid days of work; look for him to play really well in the game on Saturday.  Once again Auburn's Montravius Adams and Clemson's Carlos Watkins showed great interior pressure in team period. Adams' ball-get-off is a problem for the offensive linemen in 1-on-1s.  Both Miami Hurricane defensive backs Corn Elder and Rayshawn Jenkins had stellar days as well. Elder has gotten better with each practice this week.
