Wofford can clinch a share of their 5th SoCon Title and the automatic bid to the FCS Playoffs with a win this week over winless VMI in Spartanburg.  Furman can keep their hopes alive of winning a share of their record 14th SoCon Title with a win against The Citadel in Greenville.

Western Carolina running back Detrez Newsome needs 67 rushing yards this week against Mercer to become the first player in Catamount history to rush for at least 1,000 yards in three consecutive seasons.

Samford quarterback Devlin Hodges gained 406 total yards in the Bulldogs 20-3 win over Mercer last week.  Hodges threw for 367 yards and ran for 39 giving him a career mark of 10,013 of total offensive yards, making him just the fourth player in league history to surpass the 10,000-yard total offense plateau. Hodges needs 661 passing yards to become just the third player in SoCon history with 10,000 in that category.
