Robbie Ross previews this weekend's SoCon slate.

VMI quarterback Reece Udinski has set a new SOCON single season record for consecutive passes without an interception as he is 130- for 217 on the year.  Udinski comes into this week’s game at The Citadel two pass attempts away from breaking former Elon QB Scott Riddle’s SoCon career record of 218 consecutive passes without an interception, which Riddle set over the 2008 and 2009 seasons.

VMI and The Citadel will renew one of the South’s oldest rivalries in Charleston as they do battle for the Silver Shako in the Military Classic of the South.  The Bulldogs have won 12 straight in the series that dates back to 1920.

Points were aplenty last week for four SOCON teams as they surpassed the 50 point mark.  Samford scored 61 in their 4 overtime win over The Citadel who scored 55, Wofford scored 51 in their win over VMI and Chattanooga scored 60 in the Mocs win over Western Carolina.

Furman is the lone SOCON team ranked this week in the FCS Top 25 Poll.  The Paladins jumped up to #14 after their 17-10 win over ETSU.  The Citadel, Wofford and Samford all received votes in this week’s poll.
