In a big spot for App State, it was Jalin Moore who came through once again.

Appalachian State's Jalin Moore has had a remarkable, record-setting career for the Mountaineers, so much so that his 239-yard performance at Georgia State on Saturday does not rank in his top three for single-game production. Though it was, in some ways, simply more of the same for Moore, his effort against the Panthers helps keep Appalachian State in-line for at least a share of another Sun Belt Conference crown.

It was a dynamic return for the explosive Moore, who missed the recent contest with Georgia Southern and, previously, the game with UMass due to injury.

Moore was the overwhelming offensive focal point in a showdown with the previously 5-1 in-league Panthers. He carried the football 32 times in Atlanta, shouldering the offensive workload, even against the conference's second-ranked rush defense. The end result was Moore rushing for a higher total (239 yards) than the previous six feature backs did against Georgia State combined (236). His 3-yard plunge opened the scoring early in the second quarter, opening the door for an important road win.

Though limited some this fall, Moore's outburst puts him on par for a chance at another 1,000-yard season. After 1,402 yards this past year, he now has 802 yards rushing as a junior with a home game with Louisiana and a bowl appearance remaining. Moore is also poised for another Sun Belt championship ring if Appalachian State can finish the regular season with a victory. In two career outings against the Ragin' Cajuns, Moore has 27 carries for 210 yards and four rushing touchdowns.

In a big spot for the Mountaineers, it was Moore who came through once again. He and Appalachian State are ready for another repeat performance.
