Live Nation’s Ones to Watch

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – September 9, 2013 – Country newcomer Chase Rice has been on the road building a fan base show-by-show, city-by-city since 2012, and now, with the release of his new single “Ready Set Roll,” all his years of hard work are paying off. “Ready Set Roll,” which was written by Rice, Rhett Akins and Chris DeStefano, is the debut release and title track of Rice’s forthcoming EP recorded with producer/engineer Scott Cooke (Jake Owen, Nickelback), DeStefano, and Chad Carlson. Because of the path he’s taken–building his following independently–Rice will release the single and EP, with the single made available for purchase digitally beginning Tuesday, Oct. 8 and the EP available for purchase on Tuesday, Oct. 15.

And why is this a big deal? Because our boy, Cole Taylor, has a stellar cut on the EP with the song “Look at my Truck” and we thank Chase for that.

“We’ve worked really hard on the music and our live show over the last few years, playing a lot of these songs for audiences ranging from 10 to 10,000, so to see a brand new single get this kind of momentum out of the gate from fans requesting it on the radio and at our shows is insane,” shares Rice. “I’m truly blown away at the support and can’t wait to see where our fans take us next!”

Having already sold out multiple venues on his own this year, at capacities of 500 to 1,500 in cities ranging from Auburn and Columbus to Charlotte and Chicago, Rice caught the attention of Live Nation and they tapped him for their “Ones to Watch” tour, aptly titled the Ready Set Roll Tour which kicks-off in Boston, Mass. on Sept. 12 at House of Blues.

Hot off the record-breaking success of Florida Georgia Line’s crossover smash “Cruise,” which Rice co-wrote, programmers agree this edgy singer/songwriter is bringing country music listeners a fresh new party anthem of his own with “Ready Set Roll”:
“Chase Rice is country music’s ‘Renaissance Man.’ His new single ‘Ready Set Roll’ and EP readily demonstrates his growth as an artist literally on the threshold of stardom,” said John Marks, senior director of country music programming for Sirius XM.

Fans will be able to pre-order Ready Set Roll beginning October 8 and can also listen to the single here.
