Western Carolinaxe2x80x99s Troy Mitchell accounted for 360 total yards of offense in the Catamounts 48-10 dismantling of Furman.0 Mitchell passed for 305 yards and three touchdowns completing 27 of his 35 passes.0 The Catamount signal caller also rushed for 55 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Defensive Player of the Week
Mercerxe2x80x99s Zach Jackson garnered nine tackles with one for loss, a fumble recovery and an interception in the Bears 17-14 upset of #3 ranked Chattanooga giving Mercer their first SoCon win of the season.

Special Teams Player of the Week
The Citadel Eric Goins kicked five field goals for the SoCon leading Bulldogs in their 35-14 victory over VMI to retain the Silver Shako for the 9th year meeting in a row.0 Goins made kicks from 33, 26, 20, 23, and 34 yards making him 10 out of 12 on field goals this season.

X Factor of the Week0
Mercer quarterback John Russ led the Bears to an upset win over 3rd ranked Chattanooga for the Bears first SoCon win of the season.00 Russ had 218 yards of total offense, running for 56 and throwing for 162.0 He completed 9 of 19 passes, scoring two touchdowns, one through the air and one on the ground.00
