East Tennessee State won the “Battle at Bristol II”, also picking up its first conference win since bringing the football program back.

Offensive: East Tennessee State quarterback Austin Herink was 24 of 37 for 269 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Bucs to a come-from-behind 34-31 victory over Western Carolina.0

Defensive: Chattanoogaxe2x80x99s Nakevion Leslie racked up 15 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and a sack in the Mocs’ 21-14 win over Furman.0

Special Teams: The Citadelxe2x80x99s DeAndre Schoultzxe2x80x99s 81-yard punt return for a touchdown on the last play of the third quarter put the Bulldogs up 21-17.0 The Citadel went on to a 31-24 road win at Gardner-Webb to improve to 3-0 on the season.

X-Factor: Wofford fullback Lorenzo Long led the Terriers in rushing with 127 yards on 13 carries to go along with three touchdowns in Woffordxe2x80x99s 59-0 win over Johnson C. Smith.

Coach: Carl Torbush, East Tennessee Statexe2x80x99s head coach, guided the Bucs from a 21-3 deficit to win their first SoCon game since re-establishing football last season, 34-31 over Western Carolina.
