Offensive Player of the Week: JD King, Georgia Southern — Rushed for over 100 yards with three scores on only 16 attempts in the Eagles’ 38-10 win over Georgia State.
Defensive Player of the Week: Desmond Franklin, App State — Finished second on the team with five tackles, while also recording four pass breakups and an interception to help beat Troy 48-13.
Special Teams Player of the Week: Stevie Artigue, Louisiana — Hit what would prove to be the game winner from 27 to push the Ragin’ Cajuns past ULM 31-10.
Coach of the Week: Steve Campbell, South Alabama — Led his team to a 34-30 upset of Arkansas State, thanks in part to his Jags converting 4/4 fourth down attempts.
X-Factor of the Week: Jalen Tolbert, South Alabama — Reeled in five catches for 144 yards and four touchdowns, including the game winner, against Arkansas State.
