Week 8 featured a strong performance for one of the ACC’s best quarterbacks, while others struggled mightily in big situations.

Sam Hartman torched Boston College, throwing for 5 touchdowns in Wake Forest’s 43-15 win.

The biggest storyline, maybe in all of college football, was DJ Uiagalelei’s benching in Clemson’s come-from-behind win over Syracuse. After turning the football over 3 times, Uiagalelei was replaced in favor of freshman Cade Klubnik. Klubnik was able to lead the Tigers to a 27-21 win [with the help of some interesting officiating], but Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney emphasized after the game that Uiagalelei is his starter. "Sometimes Steph Curry goes 2-for-25 ... We just needed a change. DJ's our quarterback. You can write that right now, DJ's our guy.  But how about Cade Klubnik coming in there and leading these guys?"

One bad game does not negate what has been a strong season for Uiagalelei.
