These people finally took the gloves off and went after each other. If they had been doing this a year ago some of the people that has dropped out might still be in the race.

Here’s how I saw each candidates performance:

Bloomberg:  In a word “Shell Shocked”.  He looked totally out of his element and was extremely uncomfortable incoming fire.  I think he has prepared for the “being rich” part but wasn’t ready to have people get in his grill.  He got a few shots in but this was a really bad look for Mayor Big Gulp.

Warren:  Her best performance.  She went attack dog and really came out swinging and beat Bloomberg’s butt all night. She was clear and direct for the most part.  She should have done this months ago.

Sanders:  He had the best night I felt. While I disagree with his politics he had total command of his views and was ready to engage all matters.

Mayor Pete:  While he had a few good shots I think overall he took some heavy damage.

Amy Klobuchar:  She had a decent night.  The only thing I notice is she looked like she was going to cry several times as she got emotional about topics she was talking about.  Her and Mayor Pete has some good exchanges.

Biden:  Pitiful.  He’s like prize fighter that is in that fight that one final bout beyond his prime and can’t throw a punch.  He’s done IMO.

I think Sanders get’s a good bump from this .  Bloomberg is clearly not used to people confronting him. He’s been the top guy issuing orders and not being checked and that’s going to be a problem.  He also has a lot of dirty laundry out there and he’s not comfortable talking about it as was shown last night.

Trump may be the big winner.  He has a big rally in AZ during the debate and he’s having fun and the Democrats look miserable grinding out these debates and no one is really breaking out.

Interesting night.

Bllomberg is the anti Sanders free trade democrat that gives some the hope of another Clinton. He is the DNC’s choice, obviously. Sanders will argue he was cheated again if Bloomberg wins the nomination. I agree Sanders will not beat Trump.

I think it’s worse for the Dems if Sanders is the nominee.  It’s going to hurt those local House elections with a socialist at the top of there ticket.  Would you want Sanders in your district campaigning?  He could flip the House back to the GOP and that would be something.

Bloomberg did not look good in the debate. That took the wind out of his sails. He is the DNC’s hope and will still around because he has money, but it looks more and more likely that the nominee will be Sanders - wow!
