At command level, I absolutely think is very appropriate to lay everything on the table. I’m sure you’ve been in those discussions. But once the order is given it needs to get done. I’m not saying blind obedience but not every order is subject to debate.

Well, if you like a sub movie that is somewhat newer but got panned by the critics, I still enjoyed and recommend Hunter Killer with Gehard Butler. Some silliness to it but still pretty exciting and he has to make some leadership gambles.
For pure military leadership movies I like Master and Commander with Russell Crowe and the relatively new Tom Hanks movie on Apple TV plus called Greyhound about the Battle of the Atlantic in WWII.
I’m a big fan of military movies. I’ve seen Master and Commander and it’s a really fine film. I’ll have to check out the other two. Hanks always delivers. Gerald Butler is a hit and miss but I’ll check that out.
I listened to the hearings with the Generals and Sec Def. For the most part it was surprisingly bipartisan. Looks like Biden been caught in a lie as he told Stephanopoulos he didn’t receive any recommendations to leave troops in Afghanistan and all 3 said they did advise him to. This will be a fun news cycle talking point until the next thing comes up.
