This game’s been talked about in just about every way possible.  The Aggie fans are talking serious smack.  The are equating what happen last year to this game and with the changes in personnel, venue, time of game and weather is a whole new event.

What it boils down to me is Texas A&M being able to stop the run.  Trevor Lawrence doesn’t have to be “great” to win this game.  If Clemson can pound the rock on a hot and humid September afternoon in long drives that keep the Aggies defense on the field,  we will pull away in the second half.

Mond is a damn fine QB, but he doesn’t have the same supporting cast of RB’s, TE’s to help him and Clemson’s defense hasn’t had that much of a drop off thanks to Dabo’s strategy of playing backups early in games and in meaningful downs.  If Mond doesn’t pull some of the crazy rabbits out of the hat in the passing game that he did last year, we ought to win somewhere in the 38-17 range.

I don’t think he’s that great honestly, he just had his best game against us thanks to a few miracles.  I think we have better odds of blowing them out than we do of losing (which is still possible).  If they think Trevor isn’t better than last year and ETN isn’t a serious threat they are in for a rude awakening.

I would be SHOCKED to see Trevor have a “bad” game two games in a row.  Stop ETN, Lawrence will kill you over the top.  Cover the deep ball and ETN will have another career day.  Going to be interesting to see what A&M does.  They quickly forget the situation Trevor was being thurst into last season.  Literal second game of his college career at Kyle Field, at night.  I expect it will be different this year at home.

It would not shock me to blow them out.  It also would not shock me to lose this game, but I don’t expect we will.

I think A&M can score, but on defense, it’s the ultimate pick your poison, and there’s not a lot of experience there. Actually the 10th straight year now with a Jimbo-Venables matchup. I think I’ll take the 17 points. Maybe a backdoor cover for the Aggies. 38-27. Decent game, but never any moments where you think Clemson might actually lose.

Jimbo probably has the most wins vs Dabo but he generally did that with better talent too.  I hope our coaches focus a little more on playing starters to keep this as stress free as possible.  If we beat them convincingly the coaches will likely determine if ETN or TL win a Heisman as a lot of our schedule can boost stats.

I feel like BV doesn’t trust our DL, particularly our interior DL.  We’re using A LOT more 3 man fronts than usual.  We’re also missing far more tackles than usual.  The offense will likely need to score a decent amount today.  They’ve been sluggish through the first quarter.

Defense is figuring Mond out and the offense is about to go off aTm…

Still some sloppy play.  But a solid win over a top 15 team.  GO TIGERS!

Solid win.  Lots of mistakes to fix, could of beat them by 2 more TDs.  Scary that we win like this while not playing our best ball.  If Syracuse plays like they did today we’ll slice through them like hot butter.

Yea we are spoiled by our ceiling.  We can make a few dumb uncharacteristic mistakes ending several possessions and still win comfortably.

Cuse will probably go from “Get loud for Clemson” to “Don’t go to that game”

We are still much better after just 2 games than we were last year…it’s not even close.  Until game 5 when TL took over at GT, we were still finding our way.  We have a lot of games to work in our backups…We are in really good shape.

Definitely didn’t see the defense playing as well as it did. They were tremendous. Mond was off, but had no help from his line or receivers. TL and the WR corps just make so many NFL plays. It’s special. Probably good for Clemson to have some sloppy moments like they’ve had the first two weeks. Nothing else to really motivate them besides cleaning those up.

Kind of glad Syrcause so we don’t have to deal with the faux hype for that game all week that was always going to be a runaway unless the QB gets hurt for the third year in a row.

Like when UofSC puts up 72pts one week and then the next has to play Bama?  LOL, can’t wait to see this one.
