After trying to watch the World Cup I am very ready for College Football…Heck, even the start of Fall Camp in a month is welcomed.

I wonder what everyone’s expectations are…As A Clemson fan, I have no idea how long this “Golden Era” is going to last, but it is a fun ride…A lot is being put on the QB situation and all I will say is I hope Dabo doesn’t repeat what happened with Cole Stoudt and Deshawn Watson….If Trevor Lawrence is the better QB then start him and get him the first team reps.

I think what is being under-reported and under-valued right now is how solid out RB’s are with Feaster and Eiteine…Those two men with really play a big role in Trevor Lawerence’s early development should he be the starter.

To be honest, I am a little worried about Texas A&M…On paper we should be a solid favorite, but a QB controversy on the road and a solid fan base could be challenge.  Dabo and Jimbo know each other well which makes this an interesting game

Pirates function as a team. There were a lot of castes and classes in England at the time. But with pirates, it didn’t matter if you were black, white, rich or poor. The object was to get a treasure. If the captain did a bad job, you could just overthrow him.

Trying to watch the world cup??  I’m offended!  I absolutely love the world cup, and international games in general.  I am watching more and more soccer lately.  Love it.  The ONLY commercials you have are during halftime, how can you complain about that!

I think all Clemson fans know at some point we have to dip.  You have to dip to come back stronger.  We just don’t know when.  We are just enjoying it.  I agree, if TL is ready and is better he has to play, period.  I fully expect to see Bryant start to begin the season though.

Our Dline is taking most of the press at this point, as they probably should.  I really hope, and expect, to see a dominant defensive front this year.  Could be Clemson’s best Dline ever, they need to go out and prove it.  I thought that they trailed off as the season closed last year, it just didn’t seem as dominant.  Like they ran out of gas almost?  Maybe it was just a perception I got as we played better teams?

A&M will be interesting with Fisher.  I think we can handle it.  I am not sure they are that good yet, but if Syracuse can do it then A&M sure can.  A&M fans seem to be worried about their Oline from the little I’ve read, if that holds true our defensive line should feast.

Just keep the 10 win streak going whatever you do.  I don’t see any reason we can’t be in the Playoffs again though.

I’m not a big fan of soccer so I don’t get much enjoyment out of the world cup. I appreciate that others do and think it’s a great environment for sports.

I’m looking forward to football this year should be a fun one. I like summer though so it’s always bittersweet. Clemson should be fun to watch. We should be pretty hard to score against and have the weapons to be dangerous on offense as well. As you’ve all stated, QB is going to be critical. I agree on the point about the RBs being special. That’s another concern I have with Bryan at QB - he runs so much that he takes touches away from the backs. This is a talented team and should go far.

I’m almost ready but I finally bought a house a few weeks ago and I’m still getting set up.  The GF’s storage unit had a water leak and was filled with mold so instead of having half our furniture we have about 1/5th….

Still need to pick a router/modem, any recommendations?  After that I’m gonna try out the cord cutting options like Sling/Hulu+/ Youtube TV, etc.  I’m guessing Sling will be the winner but we’ll see.

Soccer is a socialist sport so I never watch it. Boring beyond belief and can’t respect any sport that fakes so many “injuries”.

We should have a N.C. caliber team but we have to pLay up to our potential to seal the deal. TL is the difference maker and frankly, I don’t think it is even close. Use KB for wildcat, short yardage, goal line but otherwise, hand Trevor the keys.

UNC had a horrific year last season. Silver lining is a lot of young guys played due to injury. Those players are now sophomores with experience. UNC has missed on 5 qb recruits this recruiting year. Also, they’ve lost 3 guys to NCSU, and 1 or 2 to VT. There are some grumblings. Fedora better have a better season and beat Dook and NCSU this year or the noises will get louder. He has a large buy out, but UNC doesn’t hurt for money. They are presently undertaking a $70 million athletic facility upgrade, which includes indoor, grass, and turf practice fields for FB, and new soccer and field hockey facility, and other improvements. What’s not included is the Dean Smith Center. Word is they may build another all together. Anyway, UNC better be better with wins vs. Dook and NCSU, or Fedora will feel it somehow.

98: I agree. Fedora should have an experienced team this year, not necessarily senior-laden though. He has shown signs of putting together solid talent and thought he had the defensive issues moving in a better direction.

Very tough to say how this year will play out given the massive injury-bug from last year but think he needs to win 7 plus to keep the fans interested.

Not sure if you play Wake this year but they will be very solid as well. Can’t be good to have the worst P5 team in the state if they don’t perform better.

To me, last year shouldn’t count for Fedora. The injuries were absolutely ridiculous. There is now way they were going to be successful under those circumstances. I think he can do well at UNC and hope he get the time needed.

I believe he is entering his eighth season. I’m not too sure how long it takes. He has one OOC victory vs. a power 5 team in those 7 seasons so far. I do not want the guy gone for gone’s sake. I want UNC to win. Maybe he just isn’t the one, maybe he is.

WOW I honestly thought he had only been there 4 years.  I have faith that Larry is the right guy.  It’s unfortunate he lost some momentum with injuries last year.  I hope he and Cutcliffe get Doeren fired.

It is hard to believe he’s been there that long. He came in at a pretty tough time for UNC.

Enter the dead period in sports, the longest 2 months of the year, too hot to get any outdoor projects done.

Still have World Cup going on, and the Tour de France just started!  Both of which are still better than basketball.

It’s FISHING and beach season!!!  I’ll pass on the beach unless I’m fishing there.  I do need to get in the water.  I love the summer despite the lack of major sports.

TDF and soccer better than basketball?!?!?! YUCK, no!
