Not sure what game you were watching but I thought that was a riveting game with potentially one of the great players ever to play basketball facing off against a team that shut the rest of his teammates down. Carolina messed up that last possession and did not shoot well but that game was super exciting and I hope there is a round 4. Carolina, Duke and UVa all deserve 1 seeds especially based on the limited bit I saw from Tennessee and Kentucky. Neither of those teams are playing the type of basketball the ACC teams are playing right now.

Neither team played their best in that game. Williamson got his, but was favored by officials all game. I’m not saying the rivalry isn’t thrilling, but the first half was back and forth with runs. The second half was less offensively for both teams. Yes, UNC didn’t get it done on the last play. That stuff happens. I’m not even that upset with the outcome. As for a 4th game, I’m not too convinced. This rivalry feeds off of games that in the end don’t mean all that much on a national scene. both teams are often ranked high. It is a game watched all over the country, but I think it akin to the annual Bama Auburn game or something. It seldom determines anything regarding the NCAA tournament.

I guess I get what you are saying but I’m not really sure how you can say Carolina-Duke doesn’t mean that much in the National scene. For a lot of people, college basketball season doesn’t start til the first Carolina-Duke game.

If anything this game means too much on the National scene and it overshadows too much of the rest of the sport.

Well, the Clemson Lady Tigers made it to the NCAA Tourney for the first time since I believe 2002.  Good on them

Because they hired a coach when the other wasn’t working out instead of giving extensions.

The next couple of days are my favorite days in all of sports.

Clemson used to have a good women’s program, glad to see it’s coming back. With the tv channel coming all the non revenue sports are about to get a much bigger spotlight, plus women’s basketball has a chance to actually be a revenue sport if it keeps growing.

Well, Clemson won the first round of the NIT for what it’s worth….Anything short of making it to Madison Square Garden I think would be a failure.

While I’m not the type that’s going to chant “ACC ACC”, it is a nice look for the league to own College Football and Basketball.  Great for recruiting, TV, etc..

The best part is Basketball is over and that gets us a step closer to the 2019 College Football season.

It gives extra material to talk about when the ACC Network starts up this fall.

I don’t see the College Football National Title leaving the ACC or the SEC for the next few years.  That’s going to compel the 3 other P5 conferences to push for playoff expansion, which I’m not really for.
