MCA Junior records two sub 4.5 runs

Michael Campbell, a Junior at McIntosh County Academy, took a step away from his anchor position on the Bucs 4x100 relay team to compete on the football field at the Explosive Southern Pigskin Football Camp in Pooler, on Saturday.

He returned to the field for the first time since playing in the GHSA Class A Public School State Title Game in the Georgia Dome where he started at cornerback and safety for the state runner-up Bucs.

ESPFC-Pooler featured two runs of the 40-yard dasher for the campers. Campbell raced to a 4.4 in the first round and then followed that up with a blazing, camp best 4.31.

Campbell also garnered Honorable Mention recognition for his play as a defensive back.

In the classroom, Campbell succeeds as well, carrying a 4.1 grade point average in honors and college level classes and has scored 1100 on the SAT.
