The first thing that stands out about Johnson, other than his awesome football name, is his size and definition.

Toot Johnson had a monster year for Effingham County last year, but still has yet to pick up any offers. Following his showing at ESPFC, I can only imagine that offers are right around the corner for this moving truck of a running back.

The first thing that stands out about Johnson, other than his awesome football name, is his size and definition. With one look at Toot, you can tell he’s a running back that loves breaking tackles and getting into the open field.

Johnson measures in at 6’0″ and 190 pounds of muscle. He’s used that muscle over the past few years to have great seasons for Effingham County and their power running game. Even though he carries that power-back weight, Toot can scoot. Johnson impressed everyone at the camp with a 4.60 40 yard dash.

Then in a 6 man race between the fastest runners at the camp, Johnson finished 2nd to MCA’s Michael Campbell just slightly. This is so impressive because Campbell ran a 4.33 in his individual 40 yard dash earlier in the day.

Johnson also proved that he could be nimble on his feet with pass routes out of the backfield.

When asked about his playing style, Johnson spoke of a running game that would make the great running back’s of our time pround. “The best thing I do is find a hole to get to the open field. I like to see green grass,” Johnson explained. There’s something to be said about a physical running back that is still patient enough to find the whole, instead of just running into a crowd of linemen. Although Toot is extremely impressive, he’s still looking for his first offer as he gets ready for his senior year.

But, Johnson knows exactly what he wants in a college scheme. “A physical, drive down your throat type of style,” Johnson said. “I-formation and Pistol. I also like to see that colleges care for the players as well.” Toot Johnson can be a 20, 25 carry back for a team that is looking for one. But while Johnson is waiting for that first offer, he proved quite a bit to a lot of people at ESPFC.
