Southern Pigskin’s official pre-spring 2018 top 25 rankings.
1. Alabama: Freshmen led Tide in title bout and all that remarkable talent is ready for more.
2. Clemson: Led by Christian Wilkins, Tigers could boast the best defensive line in history.
3. Ohio State: Plenty of star power returns for the Buckeyes, including go-to RB J.K. Dobbins.
4. Washington: The Huskies have a dynamic backfield in Jake Browning and Myles Gaskins.
5. Georgia: Get ready for a lot of RB DeAndre Swift, all with QB Jake Fromm setting the tone.
6. Wisconsin: Remarkably, Jonathan Taylor nearly rushed for 2,000 yards as a true freshman.
7. Oklahoma: Former Texas A&M QB Kyler Murray is ready for the high-flying Sooners.
8. Auburn: QB Jarrett Stidham is ready to emerge as the focal point of the Tiger offense.
9. Miami: Mark Richt’s talented Hurricanes will have one of the best defenses in the game.
10. Michigan State: Expect more of the same from the nation’s second-ranked rush defense.
11. Stanford: After 2,118 rushing yards, Bryce Love turned down the NFL for one more run.
