The Citadel scored three straight touchdowns over the course of the third and fourth quarters to storm back from a 17-7 deficit in a 31-25 win over East Tennessee State in Johnson City.

The win for the Bulldogs is the 500th win all time for the program that dates back to 1905. 

ETSU grabbed a ten-point lead on a JJ Jerman 46-yard field goal early in the third quarter before the Bulldogs took control. 

A 1-yard touchdown run by Dom Allen, a 7-yard touchdown run by Raleigh Webb and a 28-yard touchdown reception by Webb but the Bulldogs up by 11 midway through the fourth quarter. 

After a Jujuan Stinson touchdown run for the Bucs with 5 minutes remaining, Jacob Godek sealed the win for The Citadel with a 46-yard field goal with just over two minutes remaining. 

The Citadel opens the SoCon schedule exactly as they left off last year now winners of 9 in a row and 17 out of 18 league games. 

The Bulldogs amassed 331 yards on the ground to ETSU’s 26. 

The Citadel has the week off next week before traveling to Samford on September 30th, ETSU welcomes Mercer to Johnson City next week.
